Whidbey Island RV Adventure
Journal Map
In addition to my blog posts, I keep a hand written journal of our adventures. Maps help tell the story of where we went and what we saw.
Do you keep a journal? What kind do you have? How often do you write in your journal? Do you illustrate your journal or keep scrapbook items inside? -- Margy
Love the map, great idea. Have a wonderful week, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThanks. I started doing this last year when we took our first RV adventure to Arizona. It's been fun to illustrate the journal about our travels. - Margy
DeleteIt’s great
ReplyDeleteThanks. The more I draw the better I get. - Margy
Deletelove your map :) My journal is mostly digital of course. My blogs and Instagram is my journal. Unless I am travelling :) then I do more.
ReplyDeleteThat's the same for me, but I like to keep a written record during trips and when we are up the lake at the cabin. - Margy
DeleteGreat way to record your adventures.
ReplyDeleteI've used a journal and clippings for years during our travels, adding hand drawn illustrations is new for me. - Margy
DeleteI write a daily journal for all my trips. I used to stick in entrance tickets, bits of brochures, travel tickets etc but it took me too long. However they are my favourite journals to look back on and bring those places back to life.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing, and yes it does take a long time. But I agree, looking back it brings the trip alive. I also use mine to remember the best places to stay and which sites are the best. - Margy
DeleteHi Margy, your journal map is great and, apart from the obvious enjoyment you have in creating it artistically, its such a practical piece. Cheers! and Happy belated PPF :D)
ReplyDeleteI'm honoured you think it is great. I am more of an illustrator than artist I think. - Margy
DeleteMargy - I so admire your drawings. This map looks like something out of a tourist guide - so professional! As you know, my only journal is about my garden, and although I have some drawings in it, I would like to do more. Next season! Enjoy the rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteI want to do more in my garden journal as well. Right now it is mostly notes jotted about planting and harvesting. - Margy
DeleteYour map looks really fantastic! I have often thought about keeping a travel journal, but haven't yet.

I've done it for years. Unfortunately during several moves I've lost some of the older ones. - Margy
