Reed Point Marina in Port Moody, BC

The sun has set over the Reed Point Marina in Port Moody. Days end early this time of year, so Wayne's sailing lesson lasted until it was almost dark,

at least on the south side of Burrard Inlet. When we arrived, the wind and tide were in opposition causing huge standing waves that were visible from the Ironworkers Memorial Second Narrows Bridge.

But by the time Wayne and Bill were ready to sail, the wind had reduced to a light breeze in the Port Moody area, perfect for a first lesson. What a great way to explore Vancouver.

Isn't this a great looking sailboat? You'll be hearing more about her soon. -- Margy

  4. I recognize that marina fur shore...we're at the other end on dock 9. She looks to be in great shape and sea worthy. Are you going to keep her name? My human was looking at some squadron rosters from 40 years ago and wondered how many boats listed there still have their same names, if even around. Hope you get lots of enjoyment from her...looking forward to some sailing adventure posts next summer!! =^,,^=
