So many don't make it with all the big box stores, but good ones like this keep their customers despite all the difficulties. - MargyPowell River Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17580698518291129041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40985591113240940.post-69727380413847679502015-09-28T09:12:34.009-07:002015-09-28T09:12:34.009-07:00The ferry trip to Alaska has always sounded like f...The ferry trip to Alaska has always sounded like fun to me. We drive down to Seattle quite frequently for spots events at UW. If we can time it, the drive isn't too bad, but in rush hour we are so glad we live in a smaller town. - MargyPowell River Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17580698518291129041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40985591113240940.post-8878263956032539072015-09-28T09:10:59.177-07:002015-09-28T09:10:59.177-07:00Good luck with the Country Fair! - MargyGood luck with the Country Fair! - MargyPowell River Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17580698518291129041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40985591113240940.post-84248454128507055872015-09-28T09:10:33.276-07:002015-09-28T09:10:33.276-07:00They used to sell at the Farmer's Market but I...They used to sell at the Farmer's Market but I didn't see them listed as a vendor there. - MargyPowell River Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17580698518291129041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40985591113240940.post-81426590631430379822015-09-17T20:45:06.037-07:002015-09-17T20:45:06.037-07:00I adore places like this--the ones that haven'...I adore places like this--the ones that haven't become too big but still have good products. We hadn't been there before last summer, when we spent a couple of nights before and after our ferry tri to Alaska.... And now this little town would be an added incentive to venture further than Seattle on our next trip to Washington. They oysters alone would be worth it.Sallie (FullTime-Life)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15442598857394838271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40985591113240940.post-24544318282483987702015-09-15T14:03:07.573-07:002015-09-15T14:03:07.573-07:00Both restaurants are my kind of places. I'm entering banana bread in our county fair, so still looking for a yummy recipe.
Take 25 to Hollister
Su-sieee! Joe's Gardens in Bellingham (organic produce farm right in the middle of Bellingham) sometimes has the Breadfarm bread - and we've eaten sandwiches on it from some small local cafes. Great bread - and as always - Edison and Bow are great places to visit for local color. Plus there are a lot of Bald Eagles and Redtail Hawks in the area, great for photographing. Once we even saw a pheasant in the wild.JoAnn ( Scene Through My Eyes)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12621061028973446378noreply@blogger.com
